Third Grade Grandparents Day – A Special FIS Tradition
We are excited to welcome our 3rd graders and their grandparents for this year’s Grandparents Day Dinner on Wednesday, September 24th from 4:30–6:00 PM. This cherished tradition is a special time for our students to honor the important role grandparents play in their lives.
This year’s celebration will be held after school and is exclusively for our 3rd grade students and their grandparents. We’ll enjoy a delicious catered meal from Johnny Brusco’s, featuring an assortment of pasta dishes, pizzas (including a gluten-free option), salad, and breadsticks, plus sweet treats from Mountain Moonshine Cookie Company.
Please note: a ticket must be purchased for anyone attending who wishes to eat, including students and grandparents.
The evening will also include a photo booth, a craft table, and door prizes—creating opportunities to make memories together.
To help everyone get their food quickly and comfortably, we’ll be staggering arrival times by homeroom:
- 4:30 PM – LaPalm, Gaughan, Evans, Riddell
- 4:40 PM – Cowart, Miles, Settlemyre, Duby
- 4:50 PM – Pegg, Givens, Maxey, Galloway
- 5:00 PM – MacTavish, Johnson, Cupp, Branch

- Cost: $9 per person
- Payment: Prepaid only – no money will be accepted at the door
- Deadline: All orders must be placed online by September 16th using the below form.
Important: Anyone attending who wishes to eat—students and grandparents—must select “WITH Dinner” and pay $9. If you plan to attend but do not want a meal, you may select the “NO Dinner” option at no cost.
