About The PTO
The PTO is a partnership between FIS educators and parents who strive to enhance learning and enrich the lives of the students within our school. The PTO also seeks to foster parent involvement, which has been proven by decades of research to be the greatest predictor of student success.

promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school and community
raise the standards of home life
bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth
develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, and social education

We support our students, teachers and staff in the following ways:

funding accessible playground equipment
sourcing funds for teacher wish lists
funding and organizing science labs
funding and organizing MONTHLY staff appreciation lunches
funding school grounds improvements and beautification
organizing, planning and coordinating Fun Run, Variety Show, Contests and Family Fun Night
assisting teachers with after school enrichment planning
coordinating giving tree...and much, much more!
